Egypt’s Ministry of Housing has announced an ambitious plan for 2026–2030, aiming to attract around EGP 3.15 trillion in real estate investments to develop more than 115 million square metres, reflecting the strong momentum of Egypt’s construction sector.

The plan targets annual investment growth of 15–25% in promising development areas, increasing demand for construction materials, contracting services and advanced engineering solutions. It focuses on underdeveloped cities and fourth-generation cities in Upper Egypt through infrastructure and utilities development, creating large-scale opportunities for contractors and building material suppliers.

Key measures include promoting new cities, preparing investment-ready zones and offering regulatory incentives such as extended project timelines and higher land utilisation ratios, providing greater flexibility for construction companies.

The ministry also aims to enhance the global competitiveness of fourth-generation cities and attract foreign direct investment through financial and administrative incentives, including tax benefits and reduced down payments for major projects.
