President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has issued a decree to establish the Gargoub Special Economic Zone on Egypt’s northwestern coast, with a total area of approximately 402,000 feddans, under the framework of the Law on Special Economic Zones.
Located in northwestern Egypt on the Mediterranean coast, Gargoub is set to become a launchpad for the development of the Marsa Matrouh region, positioning it as a strategic hub for investment and growth.
The economic zone comprises four main areas distributed as follows: 80,600 feddans, 295,000 feddans, 2,818 feddans, and 23,000 feddans.
President El-Sisi also issued a decree allocating land plots to the General Authority for Industrial Development for use in industrial activities, transferred from lands previously designated for the New Urban Communities Authority.
