President Abdel Fattah El‑Sisi welcomed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Cairo for a high‑level and strategically important meeting at the Ittihadiya Palace, where the two leaders held extensive discussions within the framework of the second meeting of the High‑Level Strategic Cooperation Council. Their talks focused on enhancing areas of mutual economic cooperation, with a strong emphasis on sectors that directly support development and national priorities.
During the discussions, both leaders also addressed key areas of sectoral cooperation, and they agreed on strengthening collaboration in construction, infrastructure and urban development. In this context, Egypt and Türkiye committed to encouraging joint projects between Egyptian and Turkish companies in these fields, supporting high‑impact development initiatives, and enhancing industrial cooperation and joint manufacturing to facilitate local production, technology transfer and the development of joint industrial zones that contribute to large‑scale construction and infrastructure delivery. They further reaffirmed the importance of construction and infrastructure as priority sectors within their broader economic cooperation framework, recognizing the significant potential for collaboration and expansion in these areas
